Yummy Summer Smoothie Bowl ☀️
One of my 2 favourite new breakfast things is this delicious and nutritious smoothie bowl, so I just had to share!
I’m used to having smoothies for breakfast every day, but I often find I’m in a rush, and end up leaving some of it. To change it up a bit, and make sure I dedicate some time to me in the mornings, I’ve recently moved over to these yummy smoothie bowls.
A slightly thinker version of my usual drink, but topped with lots of yummy fruits and nuts, making it feel like more of a meal than a drink.
There are no set rules to what you can add to your smoothie, but here are the ingredients I tend to use.
- Some frozen or fresh bananas 🍌
- Half an avocado 🥑
- Raw cacao powder
- Chia seeds
- Flax meal
- Frozen cherries, blueberries or other berries
- Peanut butter or other nut butter for added protein and a lovely creamy taste
- Almond milk or other non dairy milk of your choice
Experiment with the amount of milk you need for your desired consistency, and mix it up with any other ingredients you fancy!

I then pour into one if these gorgeous Mexican bowls I have, and top with lots of fresh berries from the garden, nuts, seeds and cacao nibs which are also a new fave of mine!
Making my smoothie each day is a labour of love, I try to make it a meditative process, taking time to prepare it, and most of all, time to myself to really enjoy eating it.
